From the fertile mind of Scotland's premiere conjuror comes a visually stunning, easy-to-perform gem of commercial card magic. The intriguing story and the unique props provide a strong emotional hook designed to draw audiences in. And the handling is so simple that you can concentrate on what's important - being entertaining. Three tarot cards are introduced, two Fool cards, and a Wheel of Fortune card. The tale tells the effect: "I'd like to tell you the story of a legendary con artist who invented the world's oldest card trick. Today it is called Three Card Monte, but it began as 'The Search for Fortune.' It was invented long ago and used three cards from the tarot. Two Fools...and the Wheel Of Fortune. "The idea was simple: If you find a fool... you lose. Find the fortune and you win! One day an old woman watched the con man play. He mixed the cards and laid them in a row. She placed a small bet on the first card ... and lost (a fool card)! So she bet a little more on the next card... and lost again (another fool card)! Finally, she bet all she had on the last card... and lost (yet another fool card)! That's when she realized she was being cheated. "Invoking her Gypsy heritage, she uttered a strange and powerful curse under her breath and turned away from the cheat. From that moment his fate was sealed. He was forever doomed to lose. Whenever he tried to work his con, no matter how he moved or manipulated the cards, if they chose the first card... they would win. If they chose the next card... they would win again. And if they chose the last card... they would take it all. Soon, all he owned were the clothes on his back and these three cards. Remembering the old gypsy, he spent months trying to find her. When he finally did, he begged her to give him his life back. She agreed to play one last time - with his life as the prize.
"Now she mixed the cards and removed one of them... and even showed him the other two before placing them aside (a fool and a fortune card). With but a single choice, he blurted without hesitation, 'It's a fool!'
"With a smile she replied, 'No, you're the fool...' and he dropped DEAD on the spot (a surprise death card!). This is how I learned a valuable lesson - never cheat - because when you make your living like that... the odds are always against you!"

Crowded Coins: A three-phase coins across routine where three coins appear, travel between your hands and vanish at the end. Everything happens at the fingertips. Absolute Zero: A self-working impossible card location where a spectator shuffles the deck, looks at a card, looses it in the deck and you find it. Collector's Day: Four aces are produced from the deck. Three cards are selected. The selections and the aces are lost in the pack. The aces visually appear face-up on top of the deck and are placed under the spectator's hand. The three selections vanish from the deck and appear between the aces. Gypsy Monte: A Color Monte type routine using Tarot Cards and some neat handlings. Coins to Purse: Three coins are removed from a small coin purse. They vanish and appear back in the purse. Mr. Spoons: A quick spoon bending routine where a spoon is made to visually bend and then go back to normal at the end. Think Stop & Emergence: Two spectators look at and remember a card. Underground Add-On: A method of secretly adding cards to a packet as it is being stripped out of the deck. R. Paul Wilson gives an entire course in the art of Restaurant Magic. More important than the magic on the video is the priceless advice and strategy taught. You will learn how to structure an act so it can be instantly reset, when to shorten the performance, about audience interaction, contingency planning in case something goes wrong, dealing with a restaurant staff, tips, patter, tough audiences, approaching a table and much more.
You will also learn the act he has used to earn a living with and the many ins and outs of performing it. The act consists of five classic routines woven together for optimum impact. It opens with a quick and visual sequence where a small silk handkerchief appears and disappears. From the silk a sponge ball is produced and so begins a direct and entertaining sponge ball routine which ends with the magic happening in the spectator's hands. Another classic of magic begins with an ambitious card routine where a signed card keeps jumping to the top of the deck after being lost in the middle. It perfectly segues into a long card prediction and concludes with the signed selection appearing behind the zippered compartment of your wallet. The finale of the act is a Chop Cup routine where a small red ball appears, vanishes and reappears under a cup. The routine climaxes with the production of two lemons which is a guaranteed applause invoking finale that gets the attention of the rest of the customers in the restaurant who are now anxious to see you perform.
Also included is a bonus routine, "Strange Intruder," where a red back card is placed in a blue deck. A spectator names any of the face up cards in the deck and it is shown to be that red backed card.

Ricochet! Trick

The performer isolates the court cards face down in front of the audience. The four spot cards are cleanly shown before, one at a time, they transform into the four court cards!
